Something in the Water and city of Virginia Beach officials come to agreement

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The fate of Something in the Water for 2025 has become more clear after a recent contract between the festival and the city of Virginia Beach.

The organizers of the festival signed a contract later Friday with the city. The festival will only be two days, taking place on April 26-27 between 2nd Street and the pier.

The city is agreeing to a $500,000 sponsorship to be paid out from the admissions taxes. The city also won’t charge for use of police, fire crews and public works.

The contract omitted a multi-year deal that the mayor had asked for.
