PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Newport News Public Schools, like most in the U.S., has been negatively impacted by the national teacher shortage. In response, they are holding a job fair this weekend to scout for new teachers that want to educate in a great environment that focuses on youth development and personal growth. Staff members Janelle Spitz and Taylor Green joined HRS to tell us more.
If you’re interested in applying, the job fair is happening this Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Gildersleeve middle school. Additionally, you can go to the on-site walk-in interviews they conduct every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or apply online at nnschools.org/jobs.
