PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Childhood cancer research is underfunded and understudied. After losing their son, Dalton, to a rare pediatric cancer, Ewing Sarcoma, one family decided to do all they could to raise money and awareness in his honor. They started a non-profit called D-Feet Cancer, The Dalton Fox Foundation. Dalton’s father, Will Fox, and co-founder Mary Thomas, shared more about Dalton’s story and how they’re working to help find more effective and less toxic treatments for childhood cancer in this Community Connection.
