PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The Apricity Hope Project is a local non-profit that supports and uplifts caregivers of medically complex and disabled children. They do this in a wide variety of ways including supplying hospital “go bags” for parents who find themselves in unexpected hospitalizations with their children and through caregiver retreats, where parents can bond and be revitalized during these dark chapters.
You’re invited to dress up and join them for one of their largest fundraisers: Heroes vs Villains Halloween Party. It’s for adults aged 21 and over. There will be costume contests, a silent auction, food, drinks and dancing. The silent auction will also be available for bidding online if you can’t make it to the event in person.
There are many ways to support the Apricity Hope Project. They’re looking for sponsors and volunteers, who will help serve meals and do laundry at caregiver retreats, among many other things. Check out their website to learn more about the mission and how you can help!
