PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – “A Juneteenth Pageant-The Play” promises to be like no pageant you’ve ever seen before. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and most importantly, you’ll be enlightened to the true meaning of African American Freedom Day. The sold-out event is happening June 19, 2024 at The Event Center in Hampton, 227 E. Mercury Boulevard. It is free for Hampton History Museum members and $5 for non-members.
