Thousands in Hampton Roads struggle to stay warm each winter and sadly, the numbers continue to rise.
For three decades, WAVY-TV 10 remains the only local news station in our region helping those in need by collecting new and like-new coats for all ages and sizes. Once again, local businesses, non-profits, and churches have teamed up to make the Coats for Families mission possible. We’re accepting donations of new and like-new coats at our sponsor drop-off locations listed below.
Coats for Families is fueled by the warm hearts of 10 On Your Side’s long-time partner, Albano Cleaners. They ensure that any gently used coats from the Southside to the Peninsula are cleaned. Each week, coats are collected from 10 On Your Side distribution partners by Harrison’s by Apple Moving.
Everyone in need will have multiple opportunities to receive a coat this winter.
