CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — With a little less than five days left, we are inching closer to the end of Clear the Shelters 2024 and the time to take advantage of the sweet deals in place to help you bring home a new furry friend.

Kitty Kingdom Cat Café, at 565 Cedar Road in Chesapeake, is offering dozens of cage-free kittens and cats at special rate. For 25% percent off, one of the adorable felines could be yours.

Split between two rooms, the shelter is home to about 50 felines, and you can spend time cuddling with your potential play pal before you adopt.

“It’s really that jam packed,” said Julie Easterbrooks, Kitty Kingdom Cat Café co-owner, “However, we’re trying to get them adopted out as fast as we can. This has been probably one of the most overpopulated years that our shelters have experienced.”

While you choose which cat fits best into your family, you can make your decision over a cup of coffee at the shelter’s European-inspired café.

Kitty Kingdom Cat Café has all of its cats and kittens available for adoption on its website. The final day for the Clear the Shelters Campaign is Sept. 10.
