Steve’s Setlist: Heat and humidity for Labor Day weekend

Some minor speed bumps in our temperatures Friday… but the summer heat and humidity will be in full force for a majority of the holiday weekend.

Track 1
Roadhouse Blues by The Doors
The one bump in the road this weekend comes on Friday as temperatures will moderate back into the 80s for most. Still remaining muggy… so it’ll feel like the 90s… but a good 10° below Wednesday & Thursday’s heat should be a welcomed vibe. The onshore breeze will keep some clouds around and kick off a few showers and thunderstorms for parts of the region.

Track 2
Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift
Heat and humidity still a factor this weekend, especially for Saturday and Sunday. The southerly flow will boost temperatures closer to 90° both Saturday and Sunday with heat indices around 100°.

Track 3
Storm In A Teacup by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Maybe a pop-up downpour or thunderstorms Saturday afternoon due to the heat and humidity, but a better chance for late day downpours and thunderstorms comes Sunday as a cool front approaches the region. As of now, it could push in later Sunday into Sunday night.

Fortunately, behind the cool front some fresher air potentially moves in. We’ll look forward to humidity slowly dropping off Labor Day before we transition to much cooler weather next week.
