Blog: Scattered showers today. Chill returns tomorrow.

Forecast Temps Tomorrow

Yesterday turned out really nice after the quick warmup from the morning chill. We had lots of sun with high temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. We started this morning much milder. Temps were in the 50s area-wide. We did have a few showers north of the metro this morning. This was just the first round. Today we have a lot of moisture pushing into the area from the southwest. There are 2 cold fronts to our northwest with high pressure dropping to our south.

Regional Weather Map

We’ll have increasing clouds through midday. A broken line of showers will move in from the west between the late morning and early afternoon.

Future Trak Midday

The showers will break up some more during the afternoon. So spotty showers will continue between the late afternoon and the evening hours.

Future Trak This Evening

There will be some clearing late in the day. This will allow temps to warm up late. Most of the day we’ll be in the 60s, but we should briefly pop to near 70 late in the day.

Forecast Temperatures

We’ll have a southwest wind running at 10-15mph. There will be some gusts to 20mph at times.

We’ll dry out overnight after the 2 cold fronts merge and drop south. Winds will turn out of the north. At that point the colder air will pour into the area. Tomorrow will be a chilly day for late April. We’ll start off in the upper 40s to low 50s. We’ll have a northeast wind at 10-15mph with gusts to 20mph. This means that afternoon high emps will be shoved down into the upper 50s to low 60s.

Forecast Temps Tomorrow

At least we’ll be dry tomorrow. Skies will be partly cloudy. We’ll be partly cloudy with less wind on Friday, but it will still be fairly cool. High temps will be in the mid 60s. The good news is that we’ll warm up by the weekend. High temps will run in the 70s both days. We’ll be in the low 70s on Saturday with upper 70s on Sunday.

Temperature Trend

The bulk of the weekend looks dry, but I can’t rule out some isolated showers on Saturday. (It’s a low chance). We should stay warmer through the first half of next week. High temps will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.

We won’t see much rain over the next several days. Today’s rain will probably only produce about a tenth of an inch.

Rainfall Forecast 4 Models

Saturday’s isolated showers won’t produce hardly anything. We’ll likely finish out April a couple of inches below average for rainfall.
