This morning we had some cool temps in the area. Lows made it into the 50s as expected.

Low Temps This Morning

In fact… We almost broke a record low in Norfolk. We made it down to 59 degrees, and that was the record from the year 2000. We haven’t had too many record lows. The last time we had one was in 2018.

Record Low Tied This Morning

We will warm up fast today. We’ll have a lot of sunshine with very dry air in place. Dew points are in the 40s and 50s. High pressure is building in stronger over the area.

Regional Weather Map

High temps will climb to the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon.

Forecast Temps Today

The super dry air will make it feel very comfortable again. It will be a good day to open up the windows and let the fresh air into the house. We’ll have similar weather tomorrow, but there will be a little more clouds. High temps will rise to near 80 degrees.

Forecast Temps Tomorrow

The humidity will still be low tomorrow, but it may increase just a bit. Then the humidity will steadily build through the weekend.

Muggy Meter

Still…It never will really get that muggy again over the next few days. High temps will be in the low-mid 80s over the weekend. We’ll have fair skies both days.

Temperature Trend

The rip current threat has finally dropped to low. However, this means that the waves have gone down. That’s not good timing considering that the ECSC is the week.

ECSC Forecast

The big events are this weekend, but I doubt the waves will increase. At least the swimmers will be able to take advantage. There are no tropical systems to kick up any waves.
