We have some big events this weekend, and we will have some good weather for them. I’ll be down at NAS Oceana this weekend for the annual air show. The weather looks pretty good, but a few showers may fall on Sunday.
There is also a big regatta in Hampton which typically draws a good-sized crowd. We have high pressure building into the region today. There is a cool front offshore.
We’ll continue to have a northeast breeze through the afternoon. That will pull down some more mild air. High temps will be near 80.
Notice how warm it still is over the central U.S. up into the Midwest. We’ll be partly cloudy today. The humidity has dropped since yesterday. It will be moderate today with dew points in the 60s. There will only be a stray shower forming inland this afternoon. Otherwise, it will be a nice day.
We’ll have nice weather tomorrow for the local college football games. We’ll be partly cloudy with high temps in the upper 70s.
Humidity will drop just a tad more.
On Sunday a weak disturbance will roll overhead. It will bring us some more clouds along with a few scattered showers.
High temps will be in the 70s.
Sunday is our first day of Fall. It begins officially at 8:44am. We’ll have some nice Fall weather on Monday. We’ll be partly sunny with highs in the mid 70s.
There will be some more minor tidal flooding over the area today and tomorrow. It won’t be too bad, but it is becoming a nuisance for those that are affected.
There are 2 tropical disturbances over the central Atlantic. They both have a low chance of formation, and they should both stay out to sea.
We are going to be watching the western Caribbean closely this weekend. Over the next few days the models show an area of low pressure developing down there. Then during the next 5-8 days it has it moving north into the Gulf of Mexico and strengthening into a possible hurricane. We’ll have updates.
