The flavors of fall will continue into the weekend and beyond… but with only one speed bump in the road. Our next weather maker swings into the region Saturday bringing rainfall to parts of the region. Not enough to ruin your weekend plans, but enough to talk about!
Track 1
Autumn Leaves by Frank Sinatra
A nice early fall-like day is coming up for Friday with a bit more sunshine! High temperatures should hover around 80° as the persistent northeast wind slowly backs off. Temperatures will hold in the upper 70s through Saturday before the cooler air gets reinforced Sunday. So we’re keeping the fall flavors for quite awhile.
Track 2
The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin
Rain chances arrive for parts of the region overnight Friday into Saturday morning as a weak area of low pressure develops to our south. Most of the rain should be for the first half of the day Saturday, and for northeast North Carolina. Maybe just a few passing showers and extra clouds for the Southside and the Peninsulas.
Track 3
Feelin’ Alright by Joe Cocker
A more potent cold front drops into the region Saturday evening, in doing so, it’ll kick out most of the rain and moisture and pull in much cooler and drier air for Sunday. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s with plenty of sunshine. Humidity plummets into very dry levels and afternoon highs remain below average through most of next week!
No need to cancel those weekend plans with rain chances Saturday, just have an umbrella on standby and watch the radar!
