Another really nice day of weather is ahead for Sunday. We’ll be in the low 70s for most spots on with continued sunshine. Inland, some mid 70s can be expected towards Wakefield/Franklin.
Overnight, with clear skies and light winds temperatures will once again fall into the low 50s at the coast and 40s/upper 30s inland.
The dry weather lasts through next week with highs in the low 70s – climbing into the mid to upper 70s by mid week. There may be a shower or two in the southern OBX, mainly south of Manteo Tuesday afternoon. You can see that on Future Trak below. Otherwise, things look dry for now.
Another front looks to move in late in the week around Thursday, but at this time rainfall chances look limited to none. Some breezy conditions can be expected with this front.
In terms of rainfall, we are way below average for October – with only 0.06″ of rain falling at the Norfolk Airport climate station.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Nadine has made landfall in Belize on Saturday. This will be a very quick hitting storm, gone by tomorrow- with no impacts to the US. Elsewhere, Hurricane Oscar has formed east of Cuba. As of Sunday morning, the storm has 80 mph winds and is likely to affect eastern Cuba and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Oscar is unlikely to affect us.
Hope you have a great Sunday!
