We have a fantastic weekend forecast for you this weekend! High pressure will build in through the weekend, resulting in sunny, clear skies and mild afternoons. For Saturday, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s with a lot of sun. However, with no clouds, and dry air in place, it will cool down quickly once the sun goes down. So keep that in mind for any evening plans you may have.
Mornings will be cool and refreshing, with temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Highs for Sunday afternoon will be near 80°F. However, it will be very dry through that time. We’ll be back in the 70s on Monday before a front comes in Monday afternoon. This pushes our temps to drop into the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
This front won’t bring much in terms of rain chances – just a spotty shower or two expected. We’ve had a dry stretch of weather recently, and I expect that to continue into next week. Right now, we’re not in a flash drought or anything – but if it continues some conditions could develop into the later portions of Oct/Nov. For the Fall seasonn, we’re running -2.38″ below normal.
However, I do expect it to bring a cool down for Tuesday, with highs only in the 60s. The mornings will be cold, with temps in the upper 40s for the metro and upper 30s to low 40s inland.
In the tropics, we have Tropical Storm Leslie out over the middle of the Atlantic. It is moving north, and it will continue to weaken over the next couple of days, eventually becoming post tropical. There’s a system in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean that may form in the next 7 days, but no other concerns at this time and no US threats in the next 7 days expected.
Hope you have a great weekend!
