Expect another beautiful day across Hampton Roads as we await some big changes! A frontal system is set to move in on Wednesday, providing the region with more beneficial rainfall, and also a blast of cold, winter air!

Temperatures today will sit comfortably in the upper 60s with a mixed bag of sun and clouds. Clouds will be on the increase this evening ahead of a few showers, which could move in closer to midnight.

Scattered showers fill in overnight and set up a soggy Wednesday morning commute. Expect on and off showers for Wednesday as the frontal system slides through the region. Temperatures should sit in the 60s. Then as the cold front marches in… the big changes arrive.

The trailing cold front of the system will blast into the area later Wednesday, bringing not only cold air with it but a bit of a breeze. Winds could gust upwards of 40+mph in a few locations briefly Wednesday night.

As the cold air settles in we can see the breeze stick around for most of Thursday, Friday and even Saturday, with the occasional winds gusting to 30mph. High temperatures will be pinned in the 50s from Thursday through the weekend, as stubborn clouds struggle to break. There could be some lingering showers here or there, passing in nature, on Thursday or Friday as we become trapped in the colder air.

Peep those morning lows later this week as well… 30s for most for a few days! Brighter conditions will follow by Sunday and early next week!
