Karina F. Garcia was born and raised in Houston. She moved to South Texas where she pursued her interests in Writing Studies and Journalism. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and shortly after moved to Victoria, where she worked as a News Anchor/Reporter/Host for 25 News Now, before joining WAVY-TV in September 2024 as a reporter and weekend anchor.
During her college years, she worked for the university’s news organization as an anchor and producer. Karina also decided to dabble in education and as a result she received a TESOL certification, which allows her teach English to non-English speakers worldwide.
In her free time, Karina enjoys cooking, doodling, staying active and hanging out with friends and family. She currently owns a cat named Drax the Destroyer and hopes to adopt a dog in the future.
