Julie Millet

Julie Millet is an investigative reporter. She joined WAVY TV 10 in January 2022. 

Julie has more than a decade of experience in broadcast news. Before joining WAVY, Julie was a freelance reporter in Philadelphia, where she also worked as a digital host and a media coach for a public relations firm. 

Julie has also worked as a reporter for CBS 58 in Milwaukee, where in 2017 she earned a Wisconsin Broadcasters Award for breaking coverage of a blimp crash at the US Open golf tournament. 

Prior to working in Milwaukee, Julie was an anchor/reporter for the ABC affiliate in Augusta, Georgia. One of her proudest accomplishments came in 2015, when Julie completed two days of boot camp training. She was awarded an honorary commission to 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army for her coverage of the military community.

Julie got her start in the business working as a digital producer and editor for her hometown station, WCBS-TV in New York City. In 2010, Julie was part of the small team which launched the station’s new website, CBSNewYork.com. 

Julie graduated from Providence College, where she was a cheerleader for her beloved Friars. She loves college basketball and most other sports (especially the Knicks and Yankees). Julie lives in Virginia Beach with her husband and their Brittany spaniel puppy, Cooley (named for Providence Friars head basketball coach, Ed Cooley). On the weekends, you can likely find them checking out a hiking trail or trying a new restaurant.
