Brett Hall joined the WAVY-TV 10/FOX43 team in March 2018.
Since May 2024, Brett has served as one of the station’s investigative reporters with a focus on on economic development and local government in the region. Previously, Brett served as a reporter/anchor for WAVY News 10 Today and began his career as WAVY-TV’s main municipal government reporter, regularly covering the larger city councils and county supervisors in Southeast Virginia and Northeast North Carolina. He continues to cover breaking news events and helps voters make informed decisions each November as a member of WAVY-TV’s Local Election Headquarters. His series “Following the Funds” digs into money in politics.
Brett believes being “On Your Side”‘ means watching local elected leaders when you don’t have the time too.
Prior to making Hampton Roads home, Brett spent nearly three years as a reporter for WSTM-WTVH-WSTQ-TV and CNYCentral.com in Syracuse, NY.
Prior to that, Brett served as a reporter, disc jockey and traffic anchor on radio stations in Washington D.C., Baltimore and Wilmington DE.
He hails from Bel Air, Maryland and is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Go Terps!
Outside of work, Brett is an active member in his church and the Society of Professional Journalists. He also loves spending time outdoors either on his kayak, at the beach or partaking in the live steam railroading hobby.
