Ashley Knight joined the WAVY News 10/FOX 43 Team in September 2023 as the weekend evening anchor/weekday reporter.
Ashley comes to Hampton Roads from WPMI NBC 15 in the coastal Alabama city of Mobile where she was a weekday morning and midday news anchor/reporter.
Previously, Ashley was a reporter at WBRC FOX 6 in Birmingham, and before that was a news anchor/reporter at WKRG in Mobile and WFXL in Albany, GA. Ashley’s reporting at WKRG on the Carnival Triumph disaster helped the station win an Edward R. Murrow award. She has covered a number of national news stories, including the Black Hawk Helicopter crash near Elgin Air Force Base that killed seven marines and four soldiers during a training exercise. Ashley also led a weekly franchise called “Scambusters” in which she shed light on the different ways fraudulent scammers preyed on innocent victims.
A University of Florida grad, Ashley began her career as an intern at the FOX affiliate in Orlando, FL. She loves the Hampton Roads and Coastal Virginia community …where her family ties go way back before the Revolutionary War.
