Aime-Lynne Perez began working at WAVY as a digital intern in January 2023. She is currently a graduating senior at Regent University majoring in communication with a focus in journalism, and minoring in cinema and television.
When she graduates, Perez hopes to write for an online publication, as well as put her personal stories onto the big screen. She has experience in writing, having written for her high school magazine and Regent University’s official student newspaper, The Daily Runner. Though she is mostly behind the camera, Perez would one day like to also be in front of the camera.
In the film world, Perez has experience in the hair, makeup, and wardrobe department, costuming independent films such as Tapping Out, Espionage by Candlelight, Waves, and Corner Mart. Much like with her journalism career, Perez hopes to eventually put herself in the “front stage” and direct and produce an original film. Simply put — she wants to do it all.
