VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The rumors were true. Jay-Z has taken the stage to perform with at the Something in the Water festival.
Jay-Z was one of the guests for Pharrell and Friends at the festival, along with Tyler the Creator, Snoop Doog and Diddy.
The appearance of Jay-Z came following rumors — and even jokes on social media — that he and his wife Beyonce were in Hampton Roads ahead of the festival.
The festival crowd went predictably wild at the sight of Jay-Z.
After the festivities wrapped-up, festival organizers tweeted out images from the Pharrell and Friends show, which included shots of Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Diddy.

The star-studded show came near the end of the festival’s second day, which featured a massive crowd that stormed the stage area Saturday afteroon.
Fans did not appear to have been discouraged by the first day, which was hampered by strong storms. Chopper 10 was high in the sky, capturing stunning sights of the boistrous crowd.
