NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Police say a woman sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in Norfolk Sunday evening has died.
According to police dispatch, the call for the shooting came in just before 11 p.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Armfield Circle.
When officers got the scene, they found the victim, later identified as 19-year-old Haniah Sturdivant, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Officials say the victim was sent to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries following the incident. Police she later succumbed to her injuries.
