NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police say a teenage boy died Friday following a shooting Friday evening on Moreell Circle in Norfolk.
Officers were called to the 600 block of Moreell Circle around 5:15 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim.
Police arrived to find a 17-year-old boy with life-threatening injuries.
He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was pronounced deceased, according to Norfolk Police.
Detectives are calling the shooting a homicide.
