NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Zoo has announced the addition of four new members to their family!

Two of the new residents, Savannah and Tess, are both 9-year-old mini cows, and will be joining the miniature zebu cows Clover and Luke in the ZooFarm area.

According to John Deere, mini cows are nearly identical to regular cows, but have been selectively bred to be about half the size, with the largest only getting to 48 inches at the hip.

The zoo also announced the addition of two perentie lizards, a male and female. Perenties are monitor lizards typically found in the hot and dry regions of Australia, and can reach lengths of about 8 feet, according to the zoo.

Both of the lizards, unnamed at this time, will be housed in separate habitats within the World of Reptiles Conservatory.
