HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — The man accused of killing a Wing Stop employee during a fight saw his case move up to Circuit Court Wednesday.

Isaiah Harris is facing a second-degree murder charge as well as several weapons-related charges in the killing of 29-year-old Travell Giles.

Multiple witnesses testified that Harris and Giles, who were both working at the business, started fighting in the restaurant on the night of Valentine’s Day earlier this year.

That was when Harris allegedly pulled a handgun from his waistband and fired it three times into Giles.

A witness told the court that Harris stood over Giles’ body, staring down at him for some time before leaving the scene.

“He was just locked in on him,” the witness said. “… He wasn’t looking around the room or anything.”

Giles was found dead when first responders arrived.

With the exception of one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, all of those charges were certified to the grand jury.

An arraignment date in circuit court was set for Dec. 6.
