PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Buttery croissants are a staple on my Thanksgiving tables, but Costco is recalling the popular bakery goods just ahead of the holiday.

Costco announced a nationwide recall in a Nov. 9 letter to members for its Kirkland Butter Croissants because of “potential foreign material in the salt used to make the croissants.” The notice is also published on the company’s website.

The affected products were labeled with Sell By dates from Sept. 8, 2024 through Nov. 10, 2024. This impacts croissants with the item number 1199652.

If you still have any of this recalled product, you can return it to your local Costco for a full refund.

Any questions pertaining to this recall can be directed to Costco at 1-800-955-2292, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. Eastern.
