YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office recently introduced a new slogan, “Not in York County.” It’s part of a campaign to remind residents to think twice before committing crimes in the community.
Heading into Halloween, Seaford resident Bonnie Atwell got pretty creative with her take on the slogan! She arranged skeleton Halloween decorations to look like a police officer and police dog capturing a criminal.
Sheriff Ron Montgomery says he is thrilled to see the message spreading. He’s even more excited to see the community having fun with it.
If you live in the area, and get creative with the “Not in York County” slogan, tag the sheriff’s office on social media or email the office your pictures or video.
