The dry weather lasts through this week with highs in the 70s – mid to upper 70s for most areas, especially away from the coast.
In terms of rain chances, there is a small chance of a shower for the OBX today, Tuesday and Wednesday as there is a little trough of low pressure off the coast. As we go into Wednesday, there is a chance a few showers could move onshore.
A cool front looks to move in Thursday morning, but at this time rainfall chances look limited to none. It will bring us cooler temperatures and some breezy conditions though. Temperatures fall back into the upper 60s Thursday and Friday, with partly sunny skies and 60s/70s next weekend.
Oscar made landfall in Cuba overnight as a hurricane. It is a very small storm, with tropical storm force winds extending out only 45 miles. Oscar is unlikely to affect us as it moves NE through the Bahamas and then dissipates over the early part of this week. There are no other areas right now we’re tracking.
Hope you have a great week!
