NAGS HEAD, N.C. (WAVY) — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued several passengers aboard a disabled 27-foot Boston Whaler.

On Monday, the Oregon Inlet station received a report about a boat anchored on a bar.

Two lifeboat crews responded to the disabled vessel. One of the crews assisted with getting the passengers safely into the lifeboat, while the other crew worked to tow in the vessel.

Both the passengers and the vessel were successfully brought in to safe waters.
