NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – With the Virginia Senate Debate between incumbent Sen. Tim Kaine and his Republican challenger Hung Cao now only a couple days away, a lot of work is being done behind the scenes to get ready for the only live debate planned between these two candidates.
On Monday, WAVY’s crew of veteran photographers, directors and engineers were on the campus of Norfolk State University to build the debate set. The video above shows a timelapse of the stage setup.
Wednesday night’s debate will be many voters’ only chance to hear directly from the senatorial candidates in this type of forum.
