PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – My name is Abdulmalik Abdulsalam (Abdul) and I am a sports intern at WAVY TV 10. I have worked with WAVY for a couple of weeks now, and it has been nothing less than an experience. Within my first week here I had the opportunity to meet Olympic boxers Keyshawn Davis and Troy Isley alongside pro boxers Keon and Kelvin Davis.
The team that I work with is very understanding and welcoming. They have taught me to use the systems in the studio and even allowed me to write a couple of scripts that aired on the FOX Sportswrap show.
I’m excited to see where the next couple of weeks take me.
