PASQUOTANK, N.C. (WAVY) – Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Management announced an vehicle crash caused parts of Forest Park to close Thursday morning.
According to officials from Elizabeth City, a utility pole was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Forest Park and Church Street, causing poles and wires to block the road. Photos of the incident can be seen below:
Crews also stated the incident caused numerous power outages to the area, including some traffic lights. A barricade is currently set in place, and motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
There is no estimated time for restoration.
