VIRGNIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The lineup for the 2024 Something in the Water music festival is expected to be released in the next two weeks, according to a city councilwoman working with the organizers.
Councilwoman Amelia Ross Hammond, who is one of two liaisons to the festival launched in 2019 by Virginia Beach native and music superstar Pharrell Williams, made the announcement to City Council members during their meeting Tuesday.
The festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 through Sunday, Oct. 13 with stages at 3rd and 8th street.
Friday, Oct. 11, instead of another day of music, a celebrity golf tournament will occur at Red Wing Lake Golf Course. Also on Oct. 11, Williams’ movie “Piece By Piece” is set to hit theaters. The screening for the movie is expected to take place on Thursday, Oct. 10. That is the movie staring Williams which follows the life and career through the lens of Lego animation.
Unlike in years past, no shuttle operation will occur. Parking will be at the Sports Center and Convention Center at The Oceanfront.
