YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested Friday morning in connection with a bomb threat made to an office in the York-Poquoson Court House.
According to officials, on July 17 around 7:45 a.m., deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Courthouse Security were informed of a bomb threat called in by telephone. The courthouse was reopened by noon that same day.
After an investigation, 53-year-old Timothy William Nettles was identified as as suspect.
On Aug. 2, Nettles was arrested and charged with threats to bomb, which is a Class 5 felony.
Nettles is currently being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
