NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Newport News police say a man suffered a fatal gunshot wound late Friday night.
Just before midnight, officers responded to a Shotspotter activation on the 500 block of Settlement Lane.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 20-year-old Kamron Thompson of Newport News with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
