CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A driver crashed a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit Wednesday morning in Chesapeake, police say.

Police say the pursuit started just before 9 a.m. when officers spotted the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, heading north on the Route 168 bypass, just south of the Hanbury Road exit.

The driver refused to stop, which led to a brief pursuit that ended when the driver overturned in a median near the Battlefield Blvd. exit.
