The big summer heat that has been on every news headline across the country peaks here in Hampton Roads this weekend… while it’ll be real hot, fortunately, we’ll have summer heat that most of us can handle.

Track 1
Summer by Sum 41
Now that the summer solstice is behind us and it’s officially summer, it’s about time it officially feels like it! Friday should feature rather seasonal temperatures, highs should be in the upper 80s to near 90°. Humidity will start to come up, so in the sunshine it could feel like the low 90s.

Track 2
Hot in Herre by Nelly
The summer heat peaks locally on Saturday and Sunday when high temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s on Saturday, then mid and upper 90s on Sunday. The record high for Sunday is 99° set back in 2015… some spots across town could challenge that. Not only we’ll we have to deal with that, but the humidity will bring up out heat index values to quite uncomfortable levels. Saturday will feel anywhere between 95° & 100°… then Sunday will feel like 100° to 105°.

Track 3
No Rain by Blind Melon
Rain chances remain slim to none for our weekend as the dry pattern holds. That means sunshine through the weekend and no rain to cool us off. Our next best chance only comes with a few showers possible on Monday.

Find the shade, stay hydrated and beat the heat! Some of this weekend heat should hold into a few days of next week as well.
