PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — For the second day in a row, a tractor-trailer overturned on the West Norfolk Bridge.

Tuesday morning, two people were ejected from the vehicle and were transported to a local hospital, Portsmouth Police confirmed.

Motorists traveling on VA-164 experienced delays due to the crash, which occurred around 10:40 a.m. Traffic was diverted to the Cedar Lane exit and emergency crews turned around some drivers and directed them to West Norfolk Road. All eastbound lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene.

All lanes reopened to traffic around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

We are working to learn what caused the crash and the extent of the injuries.
