PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A woman is in the hospital with non life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the 2000 block of Chestnut Street on Sunday, March 17, police said.
Police responded around 7:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a woman with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
This incident occurred just seven hours after a fatal shooting on the same street, just four blocks away.
This is an ongoing investigation. No suspect information has been released.
