NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash Friday night in Norfolk.

The call came in around 9:15 p.m. for a crash on the 2100 block of Lafayette Boulevard near Dunkirk Avenue, police said.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 60-year-old James A. Edmonds suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Edmonds was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Following an investigation, detectives arrested 20-year-old Ahziyah Corprew. Corprew has been charged with hit-and-run fatality and is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
