YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY)- The York County-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect after he fled from deputies Saturday night.

According to a Facebook post from the Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call of a breaking and entering just after 8 p.m. in the Holly Point area of Dare.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the homeowner confronting and attempting to stop the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Travis Levelle Warren, from leaving. Deputies say the suspect was known to the homeowners.

Warren then drove away dragging the homeowner in the process. The homeowner was transported to a local hospital.

Deputies were notified that Warren had warrants in both Hampton and Newport News and that he was considered to be armed and dangerous.

Warren was then spotted by deputies in the area of Ilex Drive and Dare Road and proceeded to run into a patrol vehicle. He then ran on foot and could not be located.

Deputies have obtained warrants on Warren for aggravated assault, hit & run, burglary, destruction of property, and obstruction of justice.

Warren was arrested on outstanding warrants in York County, as well as multiple other jurisdictions.
