One man is dead and two other men are injured after a triple shooting in Hampton Sunday afternoon.

Police say it happened in the 100 block area of Kathann Drive.

When they arrived to the scene around 1:20 p.m., they found the three men suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other victims were transported to a local hospital to be treated.

10 On Your Side’s Aesia Toliver spoke with one neighbor in the area who said the scene was chaotic.

“It was scary,” said resident Najee Ashley.  “It was really scary to see something like this happen in broad daylight at 1:20 on a Sunday, like go to church.”

Several residents say they never heard gunshots, but claim to have heard a man in a cop car yelling.

Ashley also says the apartment maintenance man had to turn off the complex’s water after the shooting.

“He said something about they shot up in the house and the water was flooding in there so they had to shut it off,” Ashley said, “I guess they ran in the house and started shooting in there.”

At this time, police have not identified the suspect, or suspects, in this case. If anyone has information about this incident, call 1-888-LOCK-U-UP, contact the Hampton Police Division or submit a tip online.
